Dear Valued Customer,
While motivated to produce the most accurate reproductions from your digital files, we are faced with some challenges particularly with AutoCAD DWG files. Here is a short list of the problems that are associated with reproducing a DWG file.
1. External References (Xrefs). Xrefs are data that is referenced from the computer of the person creating the drawing. This information is not attached to the DWG file when it is saved to a floppy disk or CD. This means the information referenced may not print.
2. Fonts. If the person creating the drawing files is using non-standard fonts that are not resident in AutoCAD it will alter the look of the output with a substitute font. The results may be undesirable.
3. Line weights are also stored in the computer that is producing the DWG file. Our system will likely reproduce all of your drawing lines at .035mm unless you state otherwise.
DWG files are drawing files. They are not set up to be printers’ files. If you turn this sheet over, we have supplied you with the instructions on how to create a PLT (plot) file.
Stockton Blue will make every effort to supply you with a print from your DWG files, but will not be responsible for the quality or accuracy of the information printed.
Stockton Blue will expect payment for the services rendered and will not provide “Re-Do’s” at no charge since we have no control over the data contained in the file.
Our staff will be happy to train you or your Draftsman, Architect or Engineer on the proper process of creating a plot file.
Thank you for your business and please let us know if you have any questions. Feel free to contact anyone in our PlanWell Department at (209) 464-8724.
Sincerely,
Stockton Blue
